Vocal chord biopsy results in, but no call yet

Hey everyone,

I had a biopsy on my vocal chord done just over 4 weeks ago. After the biopsy they said i should be back in 3 weeks for results. So I rang up a few days ago to just check in, and the receptionist said the results are back from histology and are waiting to be reviewed.  Anyway, its been a few days and still no call, could those considered a good thing? If it was bad news I imagine it i would be told abit quicker than good news? Thanks for listing to my slight stressed and nervous rant!

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some health concerns, which resulted in a vocal chord biopsy. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious whilst waiting for results. 

    It's good to know that the histology report has been returned. It can sometimes take a few days for this to be reviewed particulary if it is discussed at a multidisciplinary team meeting. Hopefully you will have some news and reassurance soon.

    Hey Jenn,

    Thanks for the kind words and advice, I appreciate it. Ive been in touch with the hospital and have since found out the doctor is on leave at the moment.  So hopefully should here something soon.
