Pre diagnosis - two tumours found, one on my uterus, one on my ovary. What will happen next? Will they be removed? Waiting for an emergency appointment

Hi,

I was referred for a scan due to bleeding whilst having a merina coil fitting along with intermittent pain.

The day after the scan I was called by a specialist and told they have found 2 tumours one 10cm in my uterus and another 5cm on my ovary (they said it was a large inhomogeneous heterogenous growth) which is also enlarged over. I am currently waiting for an emergency appointment.

My symptoms are, abdominal swelling, bleeding, pain in lower back and on side of the grow on my ovary.

Does anyone know what the next steps might be? Will they biopsy or remove them biopsy?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Haleyl and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about the two tumours that were found and that you're now anxiously waiting for an emergency appointment so they can be dealt with.

Unfortunately I can't tell you what will happen next but if you give one of our cancer nurses a call next week they may be able to offer some insight and advice. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease about what comes next.

Hopefully you will hear back from some of our members who have been in a similar situation soon but in the meantime, we're sending you all our support and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
