A little anxious - had a call from the hospital to say I've been referred for an MRI due to concerns about thickening of cervix

Hi all.
I am  probably worrying over nothing. But I got a CT scan due to a really bad pain that comes and goes in my right groin. It’s so random could sitting standing lying down sleeping it just comes and goes. We thought it was another fibroid. Had to have a subtotal hysterectomy due to fibroids. Also removal of right ovary. I also noticed that I had a lump in my groin ultrasound shown it was lymph nodes. Didn’t have any infection or nothing. Tbh do t know why they are there. Anyway today my sr from hospital called me to say that she has put me forward for MRI as concerns of thickening of cervix.. I called the radiology just to see how long I need to wait and she said I’m getting it done within 2 weeks. She will call me with the date. I know I’m probably over reacting. But if anyone can give me anything I’d really appreciate it. Thank you. ️

  • Hi Sunnydays77,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's quite understandable to feel anxious when waiting for tests or results, so I can understand this being a little worrying. It's good to hear you don't have too long to wait, and hopefully you'll get the information you need shortly after.

Try to take things a day at a time in the meantime and, where helpful, keep busy and focused on other things as much as possible.

Hopefully you'll get more replies to your post from others here soon - particularly if others going through something similar see it.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
