Suspected Ovarian Cancer after 4cm cyst found. Seeing gyno on Tuesday afternoon and I'm absolutely terrified

Hello,

I've had breast cancer twice. I am now on a fast track as a recent scan showed a 4cm cyst with an irregular cystic area.

I did a private CA125 test which came back as normal and nothing showed on a recent PET scan. I am absolutely terrified that I may have ovarian cancer.

I can't sleep and my anxiety is through the roof. See the gyno oncologist Tuesday afternoon.

Just needed to tell someone.

  • I'm sorry to hear about the cyst that was found during your scan Katie61, and for the worry this is causing.

    I can see you have your appointment with the gynaecologist today so I wanted to wish you the very best of luck and let you know we'll be thinking of you.

    I really do hope you're able to get some much needed answers and peace of mind over your situation today but if there is anything further that you'd like to discuss with one of our cancer nurses after you've had your appointment, you can do so on 0808 800 4040.     Hopefully some of our members will offer their support and advice to you soon as well but in the meantime, we'll have our fingers crossed for good news.
