After 2 years of symptoms getting worse I have now been referred and I’m really worried. At the start I had just bleeding after sex, over time this has now got to the point where I’m having 2 periods a month lasting 8 days at a time, pink discharge and spotting in between, sex is uncomfortable and I feel pressure during, my discharge has increased and sometimes smiles like mince beef when it’s been left out. I’m weeing constantly and the need to wee comes on quickly and is uncomfortable, I have constant lower back pain especially on my left side, pain in my pelvis and hips, I feel tired all the time and just blah. And nauseated. I put an econsult in with my drs surgery Wednesday and they called me within 15 minutes, gp saw me first thing Thursday morning. She did an exam and took some swabs but said she doesn’t think it’s an infection as my symptoms have been going on for so long. She said my cervix doesn’t look very happy. She’s made an urgent referral to gynaecology, I’m currently waiting for this. She said she wanted anything sinister ruled out. 
im not sure what to expect, she said they will more than likely take biopsies.
