some lumps under jaw

so I've had like scattered painless lymph nodes pop up on my neck, also a itty bitty one behind my ear, heyre quite small i dont notice them unless i touch my neck and I've been to the doctors and they just say it's normal reactive lymph nodes and they're just visible naturally to some people, and I also have some under my jaw which feel bigger and harder, I've been feeling them for like 10 mins now and I notice they fluctuate in size, as in go from bigger to smaller I can feel 2 of them there one smaller and one slightly bigger is this anything to worry about I've heard about the likelihood of things becoming cancerous at early adulthood and I'm nearing that so would it be worth asking for an ultrasound or waste of time and just listen to Dr's. thank u

  • Hello arch27qi180Hi,

You did well to go to the doctor's about this and it's reassuring that they have said that it is just normal reactive lymph nodes. I think given that you are still not quite reassured and are still feeling worried about it, it might be a good idea to seek a second opinion. This will hopefully give you peace of mind and confirm that there is nothing concerning. You could perhaps ask the doctor next time you talk to them whether you could have an ultrasound just to be completely sure that there is nothing of concern.

I hope you manage to speak to someone soon and that you get the reassurance you need.

    Best wishes,
