Hi, I’ve recently be referred to ENT for a sore throat I’ve had for weeks . The doctor fast tracked me so I was in within the week. The consultant who saw me put a camera up my nose and down my throat , he said he couldn't see any cancer but said I have a swollen tongue and sent for an urgent mri. I’ve googled it and it’s terrifying me that I have cancer . I’m waiting for the results but I’m going out of my mind .

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good to hear that you were seen quickly and that they have done some tests.

I know the waiting to find out more can be really difficult, and I hope it's not much longer to wait.

Try to keep busy and focused on other things as much as possible while you wait.

I'm sure there will be others here who may be going through something similar, so hopefully you'll get more replies to your post soon.
