That's reassuring that the doctor on the ship couldn't find any abnormalities. I am not sure whether he would have examined your prostate if you were having a digital rectal exam linked to rectal bleeding. I think it might be a good idea perhaps now that you are back home from your cruise to go and see your GP as it's always worth getting a second opinion. You could perhaps bring up the fact that you experienced this rectal bleeding and give the doctor an update of that and mention that the doctor on the ship could not find anything of concern. If you have been worrying about your prostate, then you could ask your GP to examine you - make sure you explain what your symptoms are if you have any. I guess it doesn't hurt to have this little check up just to make sure everything is ok. 

I hope that you had a nice time in your cruise despite the episode of rectal bleeding and that it has all got better for you since.
