Worried about my mum

Good evening all

I hope you don't all mind me reaching out I am currently in a very bad way I have nobody to talk to I have a daughter of 17 but I have been told I am not allowed to tell her because she has her own problems :anorexia and mental health) thank you for reading, my mum is 71 last year she went to see a specialist as she kept going dizzy and having heart pulpatations the private specialist told my mum he would run a few tests, full bloods were also taken, she was advised that the dizzy spells could be linked to a neck injury for about 15 years ago and the heart is because she is so slim she can feel It in her chest, next she was advised she had enlarged red blood cells and low calcium levels but they was not concerned, in June 2024 they said that they will keep a eye on her platlets and monitor her however 3 times my mum booked they cancelled, she tried so hard to get an appointment with no luck, roll on to June 2025 mum complains she has a pain in her elbow and knee, we send her to the doctors this week for a xray, today a call from the GP says on the Xray they could see what look likes holes in the bone, now when my mum was in her 30 she struggled with authritus so we had all assumed it could be this however today the doctor said they want to refer her for bloods and urine to rule out bone cancer :(

They have advised my mum she needs to wait 2 weeks for an appointment to see a cancer specialist

I am just so confused with what is going on :(

Hi just read your post and wanted to reach out to you. Its hard to see your mum struggling with ill health and it must be a tremendous worry that they are doing scans to hopefuly rule out bone cancer

. I do hope that it first turn out to be bone cancer, but just wanted to tell you about an amazing friend I have.  She was diognosed with breadt csncer two years after I was diognosed with breast cancer.  My friend had no lumo in her breast, but her bone in the top.if her leg fractured, and thst us when they discovered legiiind on her bones  ie cancer. It was found to have manifested from her breadt which contained cancer in her nipple duct. She was obviously upset and shocked  as she didn't even know untill they just told her. The reason im telling you is , my friend didn't have chemotherapy  just one blast of radiotherapy.  She's been told its treatable but not curable, she has regular infusions, and is on Letrazole and adcal ,I also am on Letrazole and adcall but I don't have infusions as mine isnt in my bones  My friend is younger than me shes 62,and shes amazing ,she lives a good life ,does yoga, walks her fogs regularly, works in a charity kitchen 2 days a week and in a charity shop with me one day a week

She goes to london on trips  sees shoes etc  she lives a normal.life,to look at her you would never no she has what shes got.  So I thought that might help you to know this. And so even if it did turn out this way gir your mum ,which hopefuly it wont, you can still live a good life with the eobderfull treatments that they can offer you today ,unlike years sho .hope this helps .sending you a big hug..
