I have just had a Red Flag referral for a colonoscopy from my doctor dated 4 Sep. To date I haven’t heard anything from the consultant. How long should I wait or should I go down the private route.
Hi there, I hear your concern, I was in a similar shoes as you. Had an abnormal smear in May, was sent for a colposcopy a month later and only heard from them another month later saying that my biop showed high grade CIN 3 and I need a LLETZ treatment under general anaesthetic which they have booked for another month later. Im currently 2 weeks post LLETZ and awaiting to hear my biopsy results t my next appointment next Tuesday. Scared as hell, don’t know what to think as my result was actually ready a week ago but my doctor didn’t call me to let me know so Im worried it’s probably bad ne and she wants to deliver it by person
