Chest xray showed lesion on the lung

Thanks for any advice

  • Hi Charleahmr,

What a frightening time it must be for you since you discovered that a lesion was found on your left lung and you had to have a CT scan. You are so young and I can imagine the wait for results is truly frightening for you and it is indeed a time when every minute can feel like an hour as many of our members will have experienced before. It's hard not to think about the worst in your situation and anyone in your place would also be watching their phone constantly waiting for an update. I hope that you won't feel in limbo like this for too long and that you get some answers soon when the results of your CT scan come through. While you are waiting, take a look at our helpful tips on how to cope while waiting for news

I hope that it all turns out to be a false alert and I am keeping everything tightly crossed for you. It is normal to feel anxious about talking to children about your diagnosis if it ended up being lung cancer and it's not always easy to know what or when to tell them. You will find useful information on our website on talking to children about cancer including a section more targeted to talking to older children and teenagers.

I am thinking of you during this really stressful time - when you get chance, please keep us updated on what you find out and I really hope you will get some reassuring news soon.

    Best wishes,
