Chronic pain on left side

I’ve had pain in the left side of my abdomen for months… ibs ruled out, dr told me if it was serious I’d be dead by now! Colonoscopy booked soon but my granddad got bowel cancer at 38- was one of the first people ever to gey a colonoscopy bag as a an experiment and lived to be 83!  I’m 45 but too young for bowel cancer test but now the pain has moved to my right side too ‍♀️

    Thank you for posting. I see from your post that you are worried about some symptoms you have. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be natural to think the worst, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. I hope your doctor will help you get to the bottom of these symptoms and we have some information around the colonoscopy test on our website, which will help you feel more prepared.
