Hi Everyone.
I had prostrate cancer 10+ years ago and have just started losing weight.
Been for a CT scan and I'm absolutely petrified of the results however they will be.
Any advice from anyone?

Hi waggy86,
It's normal to worry after you noticed this sudden weight loss especially given you had prostate cancer in the past so it's important to get this investigated and you did well to flag it. It may be that the weight loss is totally unrelated so try not to anticipate the worst but it's good that they are investigating this closely with a CT scan. Results might take a couple of weeks to come through so the coming days might not be the easiest and it can be a time while you are waiting when your anxiety is at an all time high and it might be helpful to take a look at our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.
I will let our members come and say hello - many on here will have been through something similar so it may help to talk to others who understand why you are feeling so worried at the moment.
I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern and that you will get some clarity soon as to what has been causing the weight loss.
Best wishes,
