Possible Eye Cancer

Hello

Never used any forums before, so plz bear with me.

My father who is 81 has just lost his wife 2wks ago to IPF.

On Friday went for a routine eye check up ( has this last year had cataracts removed))long story short. They suspect he has Choroidal Melanoma, and has put an urgent referral to Sheffield.

Basically wondering what sort of journey to expect not even had mum's funeral yet.

Nothing was spotted in May !!

    I myself was diagnosed with a small, early stage choroidal melanoma around 3 months ago and have since finished proton beam therapy. Mine was also found on a routine eye test and I was referred to Liverpool, since then I've found the whole process to be very efficient and thorough, and I've been keep informed and able to ask questions all the way about what is happening. Mine was an early stage melanoma so they have given me a very good prognosis for cure. Happy to answer any questions you might have, I know how scary it can be
