Waiting to find out if I have Melanoma. Feeling so anxious

I noticed a change in a mole on my leg a few weeks ago, i bit the bullet and made an appointment with the GP last week and he put in an urgent referral for a dermoscopy and i had that yesterday. I'm now waiting for my results, while it's brilliant it all went through so fast i think thats whats given me the most anxiety. I was told theres so many things it could potentially be but they mentioned the C word and that theres 4 different skin cancer types etc etc. I'm just feeling really worried at the moment

    So many of our members know just how scary and worrying this time can be, so you are not alone Jellybean96, and hopefully it won't be long until you receive some support and advice.

    I hope some of these tips we have on how to cope with the wait will help to steady your nerves but if you would like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040. They'll be back in the office from Tuesday onwards between 9a.m - 5p.m, so do give them a call if you have any questions or concerns as they will do all they can to help and hopefully ease your mind whilst you wait.
