I'm sorry to hear that your son has recently had some health concerns and that, following an initial ultrasound, further investigations are now being requested. It's understandable that you're all feeling anxious at the moment. 

We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be really difficult. Many people turn to the internet in the hope of finding answers and reassurance, but unfortunately, what happens most often is that they are left with more questions and anxiety. If you can avoid trying to search for answers for the moment, it may help you all. You might want to consider giving our nurses a call for some advice and support. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any information and reassurance they can, along with helping you think about any questions you might want to raise with your son's doctors. Hopefully your son won't have to wait too long for his blood results and the doctors will be able to discuss the steps with him. Do keep in touch Wlb and let us know how he gets on.
