Follow up after pelvic MRI

Hi, I am new here and just wanted to find out regarding other members experience. My wife recently was referred to gyne under '2 week wait'.

She has had the scan which has been reported last Tuesday. We received a phone call on Friday of the same week to book for a follow up 

appointment this time with a Gynaecological Oncologist. We were surprised of the change in consultant from Gyne to Gyne Onco. Has anyone had

the same experience? If so, is it something that we should be worried about. The follow up appointment is scheduled next week and my wife is 

understandably anxious.

    A change in consultant can happen, though it's difficult to know what the reason might be and I'm sure some of our members will reach out with similar experiences.
