feeling a little bit lost.....

I am a bit lost after getting update from my doctor, so I turned to look for help and found this is a great place to care, share and learn.

After going to doctor with constipation, something I have never had to this extent. He sent a sample of 'poo' to lab for checking

They then asked me to go for a full range of blood tests.

Result was that I have been asked to go for a colonoscopy. this was booked but then I was told I had to have a next of kin with me during and after procedure for 24 hours.

I haven't got a single member of family so I have no next of kin. So I cancelled the booking for the procedure.

Doctor rang me to ask for another sample to see if that may come back negative and remove all my problems.

Nope!  there is definitely signs of something and he wants to help me to get through the issues and have the colonoscopy.

To say i am a little bit anxious and afraid of the result, is an understatement.

At the age of 70, when i feel fit and alive, why does this have to pop up and spoil my last bits.

So here I am writing all this down and seeing it in black and white. I feel like I should 'get a grip and deal with it, as so many other people have and will be doing so'

connecting with like minded people with issues of their own, will, i think, help me deal with whatever comes my way.

What a wonderful  thing this is, that someone set it up and manages it and so many people can learn, deal with issues and support each other.

Thank you.

Linda
