Hello Titan.2025 and welcome to the forum.
It can be very difficult to decide when to talk about a possible cancer diagnosis with family and friends but I hope it helps to know that you are not alone Titan.2025 as so many of our members have struggled with this as well and hopefully it won't be long until some of them stop by to share their experiences and advice.
In the meantime, if it would help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very understanding and will do all they can to support you at this time.
Kind regards,

Thank you for your reply Steph. I have an appointment this afternoon with my Dr to discuss what happens next following tests carried out last week, FIT, bloods, urine and xray.
You're most welcome, and good luck with your appointment today.
I hope it goes well and your mind is put at ease about what happens next.
Kind regards,

Had my colonoscopy this morning and thankfully it was all clear. The procedure went amazingly well and can't thank the medical team enough for the care and professionalism that was shown. I used Gas & Air which aided relaxation going around the SC and just across under the ribs, the rest of the time I didn't need Gas & Air as the nurse with me chatted away.
The pre- medication used the day before (Plenvu) was okay and managed it well with the help of clear boiled mints in between and plenty of water and other recommended fluids. The advice on the low residue diet 3 days before the procedure was easy to follow and helped in the lead ip to fasting.
I hope this helps anyone worried about getting a colonoscopy and understand we are all different and have different tolerances to medicines and pain thresholds, for me I'm a 100% glad to have had this carried out and for the peace of mind it gave.
