Hi all, I was on the site a couple of years ago for advice and you were all so helpful, I had endometrial polyps in July 2021 and had them removed, I then had a similar case in July 2023- 23 months later, again 2 week wait and removal again non-cancerous.
At that appointment I asked the surgeon if it was common for them to reoccur within 23 months, I am post-menopausal, he said "you must just be a polypy woman", just before I went into surgery. I felt like I was wasting his time, given the long waits and others needing care, especially when they were non cancerous but I was ectremely relived and grateful for the result.
I am once again experiencing similar symptoms, again its 23-24 months since they were last removed. This would be the third time in 4 years, this has happened. Has anyone else had recurring polyps, just not sure whether to visit GP and start on that rollercoaster again, I've had them removed twice and both times they have been non-cancerous, I don't want to put my family through the worry or waste people's time. Has anyone else had polyps coming back every 2 years, or had them 3 times in a 4 year time period. Unsure whether just to wait or go for check. Have spotting, vaginal discharge some back pain just the same as last time.
Bit concerned they are recurring every 23-24 months, I am working in the nhs, and yes I did complain about his comments to me as I felt it would put women off coming forward with concerns.
My head says you should get checked, but I also have lupus and just diagnosed with fibromylagia secondary to lupus and I am working, just not sure, I was so worried last time but was made to feel a bit stupid by the surgeon and felt like I worried and wasted everyones time. Just not sure whether to just try to forget about it and get on and assume they are non cancerous like last time, I know they are usually benign.
Any advice and thank you for listening.
