Welcome to the forum DogMum2Stark although I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're dealing with, and the tests you've been referred for.

As you say, it's very scary when things happen so quickly but try to look at it as a positive if you can as it'll means less time waiting for those much needed answers and peace of mind.
