Immovable lump and indent

Hi Everyone

I recently noticed an indentation along the top of my right breast, close to my armpit - it’s very noticeable when my arm is raised above my head.. I only saw it by chance as I happened to be tying my hair up in the bathroom mirror before a shower. I noticed it and then obviosuly started having a good prod around - I have a hard lump at the upper/outer section of my breast, it’s very fixed and immovable - the nurse has also described it as this in her notes and has referred me to the breast clinic.
My appointment isn’t until next Thursday and I feel like I’m going crazy with worry - the lump has all of the concerning qualities (hard, immovable, causing an indent, the position)..

I’m not sure what I’m looking for anyone to say, I guess just if anyone can share similar experiences (good or bad) or let me know what to expect at the breast clinic - will I come away next Thursday with a good idea of whether it’s breast cancer?

I’m only 33 and have a beautiful 2 year old daughter & im freaking out!!! Xx

  • Often in the UK they have one stop breast clinics.

I had a mammogram ( you may not as under 40 ) but you'll have an ultrasound and possible biopsy that day.

It could be a fibroadenoma, have a peek at those symptoms, they also sound like it and are not cancer.

  • Thank you for replying Clastegra!
everything about Fibroadomas says they’re often round and soft & unlikely to be fixed (although can be).. my lump is definitely hard & definitely fixed!
I guess there is just no way to know until my appointment, feels like such a long wait doesn’t it!
