Hello everyone. I'm a 59 year old woman who had an ultrasound scan three weeks ago on my thyroid. The radiographer said that there are several small benign nodules but also another one that looks worrying. It's characteristics are:
The right solid hypoechoic nodule in located in the right mid-pole of the thyroid lobe and is abuting the thyroid capsule. It has small echogenic foci (likely calcifications) and demonstrates peripheral vascularity with high resistance.
I'm a bit concerned about the findings. I had FNA 3 days ago where they took about 5 samples. My follow up appointment isn't until 4 weeks time and I'm a little worried until then.
Has anyone else had these findings and if so what were your results? Thank you x
