Telephone consultation

Hello

Just looking for some advise. I had a mammogram back in January 25 and was asked to go in to have a biopsie which came back benign. However in may 25 I discovered a very painful lump in the same breast . Went to GP who said it is probably an infection and put me on antibiotics..doctor also said she will refer me back to the breast clinic to be on the safe side

I then got an appointment to go in and see a consultant who booked me in for  an ultrasound. When I went for the ultrasound  the doctor said my Lympne nodesvin my armpit wanted to carry out another biopsey from that I went in and had a mammogram.

I had a call from hospital today to book me in for a telephone appointment with the doctor on the  22nd July.

Firstly I'm thinking maybe no serious as surely they would call me in if bad news ? Has  any one else had this experience please as I'm very anxious.

Thank you x

  • Hi Tigerlilly73,

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for your telephone consultation. It's normal to be very anxious but try if you can not to draw any conclusions until you have spoken to them on the phone. It won't be too long now to have to wait but I can imagine each day can feel very long so I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have had a similar experience and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.

    Best wishes,
