Advice sought - urgent cancer referral going to be 5 weeks instead of 2. Not sure how I will be able to cope with the wait

I have been told that my urgent suspected cancer appointment is in 5 weeks despite being told it would be a 2 week wait. I’m really struggling to function, I have 3 a lump, puckering and significant change of shap to breast. I am beside myself and not sure how to cope with this length of wait

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I understand the waiting and uncertainty is always really difficult to deal with - this is something many others here will have experienced, or may currently be experiencing.

We have some information in our post here about how to cope with waiting for news, which hopefully can be helpful for you.

Try to take things a day at a time and take care of yourself. We are always here if you need it.
