Swelling by armpit on 2 week referral

Just looking for any stories if anyone has had anything similar . I have been the GP and currently waiting to be seen in the breast clinic my appointment is another 10 days away

I have had a dull ache by my arm pit for about 3 weeks. It’s by the fold of your arm to arm pit ( hard to explain) didn’t think much too it thought maybe just strained it lifting the baby in her car seat . Have checked my boobs for lumps / any changes and nothing then last weekend I had my hand on my hip and noticed this slight swelling on the outside of my arm pit. Dr agrees can see it says it’s like a boggy “fatty” swelling but needs checking at the breast clinic. It’s a soft swelling.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting for an appointment at the breast clinic. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious about things. 

    We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult, and it's natural to have questions. Hopefully, when you see the breast care team next week, they will be able to give you some reassurance.

    Hi there,

    have you had any updates. I’ve had the exact sort of pain for the past two years without an exact explanation. Just sort of assumed it is hormonal. The pain comes and goes some months it’s there some months it’s not. It’s like a painful swelling under armpit. Let me know how you get on

    I kept meaning to update this yesterday just for anyone that was like me forever reading these chats hoping to know people’s outcome

    I went the breast clinic yesterday and all fine it is a fatty bit of tissue. I had an examination he couldn’t feel any lumps and they done an ultrasound just on the  swollen area and said my lymph nodes was all fine and shows fatty tissue. Who would think something like that can cause such a constant dull ache . He said it’s usually caused by trauma or medications but not on any meds and nothing that I remember hurting it maybe I’ve pulled it lifting the pram . Have you got a swollen area that is there all the time? This swelling hasn’t changed size but is there all the time and is no different at hormonal time
