Awaiting diagnosis but puffed out after exertion and tired by 7pm

Awaiting breast biopsy results, was told high level concern that something suspicious going on and mass needs identification. I've noticed am easily 'puffed' on exertion albeit recover quickly, but am also really tired by 6pm every night. I usually fight that but now am wondering if it's really this 'mass' causing this? Post menopausal, still working.

  • Hi Quando,

A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry to hear why you've joined us. It is impossible to know what is causing your tiredness until you get your results back. Did the staff at the clinic say when you should get them? The scans should identify your mass, but it is the biopsy which determines whether or not there is any cancer present and, if so, what type it is.

Having had 2 bouts of breast cancer myself, I can vouch for the fact that you can feel exhausted when undergoing treatment, but there are too many possible causes for this to start thinking of cancer straight away.

I do hope that you get your results soon and that you find a simpler explanation.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,
