My 58 year old brother was diagnosed with subungual melanoma about 2 years ago. He had part of his finger removed and several ops since to remove arm lumps. Last week he was told that it has spread to his stomach and liver. He currently has colitis from a previous attempt at immunotherapy and they won’t take any treatment steps until that is clear. It could take weeks/months for this to improve and a new course of immunotherapy is highly likely to cause further colitis! He has a 5 year old son and a supportive partner. They have decided to get married to secure their future. I’m not really sure why I’m sharing. I guess I’m just needing to actually process the words I’m typing because I cannot yet fully understand what is happening.
