Weeping lump on scalp.

Hi all,

I've got a lump on my scalp, it's about 1.5cm in diameter, and it's not particularly an even shape. It's a reddish pink colour, the skin looks a bit flaky. It hurts to touch and it's not itchy. It does occasionally weep clear fluid which dries on top of it.

I would upload a photo but I don't think we can here?

I have a GP appointment booked for Monday. And I went and saw a pharmacist too. He reckoned it looked like a non basal cell carcinoma, as he had experienced one himself. I know I still need to see the GP anyway.

But just wondering if anyone has any advice? Or if there's any way of me sending a photo to someone here who could give me a better opinion? Nurse or otherwise.

Thanks,

Ben

  • Hello Ben

I'm sorry to hear that you currently have a lump on your scalp that's been weeping. It's good to know that you already have an appointment booked with your GP for tomorrow, as they will be the best person to examine you and arrange any appropriate tests or referrals.

As a cancer support forum, we are not equipped to diagnose or provide medical opinions; therefore, the forum's terms and conditions don't permit members to upload photos.

Hopefully, your doctor will be able to give you some reassurance when you see them tomorrow. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
