  • Hello Emmsy40

I'm sorry to hear that you're currently waiting for biopsy results. We know that this can be a really difficult time for many people, and it's natural to want to hear news as soon as you can.

It's good to know that the results are already back with the Consultant. Often, it can take a little while for the full information to be passed on to the patient, as results may need to be discussed at an MDT meeting. This is where a team of doctors and other professionals will meet to discuss your diagnosis and the best treatment for you. I want to reassure you, though, that the results being discussed at an MDT do not automatically mean that the patient will be given a cancer diagnosis.

I think, given that you know the results have now been returned, that it would be reasonable to give the team a call if you've not heard anything within another week or so. If nothing else, the secretary should be able to give you an update about when you might have some news.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
