Waiting for ct scan

Hi everyone 

my mum was sent for a urgent 2 week referral ct scan for pancreas cancer- this was because she is diabetic (hadn’t been good at managing it) and her levels crept up to a certain level 

she got the appointment within a day of being referred - 7 weeks later we are still waiting for the results!!

called this week and the lady said the report hadn’t been done- does this mean it hasn’t even been looked at? Hoping it has, and as it is not urgent it has gone to the bottom of the pile 

she is ok otherwise and no symptoms , sugar levels are now coming down so hoping all ok

 

has anyone else had this, should I be worried? Hoping no news is good news!!

    I'm sorry to hear that your Mum has recently undergone some tests to rule out pancreatic cancer. It's natural that this is a worrying time for you both and I know many of the community members here will understand the frustration you're feeling waiting for news. 

    As it's now been quite a few weeks since your Mum's scan, I'd suggest getting in touch with the hospital PALS department. It's part of their role to help resolve concerns or problems when you're using the NHS. Hopefulyl they will be able to get you some clarity about when your Mum will get her results.
