Endometrial cancer symptoms.

Hi everyone. I managed to get an appointment to see my GP ( over a month's wait, great isn't it) and she referred me on the 2 week pathway for suspected endometrial cancer. I'd had post menopausal bleeding for nearly 3 weeks but daily lower pelvic pain. I've not long had my ultrasounds and hysteroscopy and , fingers crossed, I won't have to wait forever for the results. The nurse said that it looked like there were some polyps but when I asked if this could account for the stomach pain she said 'No'. Of course now my overactive brain is telling me I have the worst scenario.

  • Hello VeePee

I'm sorry to hear that you're currently waiting for results from a recent ultrasound and hysteroscopy. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

We know that for many people this period of uncertainty and waiting for news can be really difficult. It's natural that you will be thinking about all possible outcomes.

As you've said, hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your results and they will bring some reassuring news. In the meantime if you think it may help to chat things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

Keep in touch VeePee and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
