A CT scan for an unrelated gastro issue has flagged up a ‘shadow’ on my common bile duct. I was called in to see the consultant gastroenterologist and I am now waiting for a MRCP scan. The letter to my GP refers to a soft tissue density. I made the mistake of googling what it could be, and I’m now terrified I have bile duct cancer. The fact she saw me herself after a MDTM worries me, I usually see a junior member of her team. I’m so worried.
