I am 33 and have had a fibroadenoma for 7 years, I have just had a biopsy on it a few weeks ago as now I’m over 30 and I’m waiting for the results. Fibroadenoma’s can get bigger and they also can shrink or stay the same so is it likely that you may have had it and not noticed? I am sure you’ll feel better once you’ve had your apt and feel a little more knowledgable but the waiting is the worst.

Thank you for replying. I guess I could have had it for a while without knowing and perhaps it growing made it noticiceable. It seemed to appear out of nowhere though, from nothing to 2 - 3cm.

I hope your biopsy results are all OK.

Hi, I’ve read the average size is 2.5, mine is just under 2cm and is not too obvious now, the consultant took a minute to find it and that’s with me showing her the location so it could be possible? I hope you get some clarification at your apt :) they are usually pretty good at saying what they think it could be even before the results at times
