Hi all,

I'm slightly worried about an issue with my left nipple/areola area about 2 weeks ago it started to become sore whenever it was touched or if I was running going up the stairs etc. left side of my nipple on the areola is inflamed and my nipple has become more red compared to my other nipple. I've also noticed tiny white spots on the nipple itself (I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding). I do have a gene linked with breast cancer but I know it's not brca I just for the life of me can't remember which it was I just remember being tested and then told I had a gene and would require yearly checks when I reach 40 (I'm currently 35). My left nipple is flat but has been for a while and also tingles throughout the day. 

Obviously I've googled everything and rang my Dr's who've made me an appointment a week away with a nurse, I'm not sure whether I should feel concerned or happy that they don't think it needs looking at by a GP and can wait that long. I was just wondering if anyone had had these symptoms and what the outcome was, I'm very impatient and have autism so I will be obsessed with this until I've been seen but I like to know all possible outcomes (it helps my brain cope and calms my anxiety)
