I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms Hardingf01 and for the worry your Ca125 results are causing.

As you've mentioned in your post, there are a lot of other things that can cause a high Ca125 reading but if it would help to speak to one of our cancer nurses about this, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They will do all that they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease whilst you wait.

Good morning , about 5 years ago i had very heavy periods and pain was unbearable.. ca 125 was done and results came back at 425 i nearly passed out when the doctor telephoned me to say i was referred to hospital on 2weeks . Had an ultrasound and my lining was 19 mm so then a endometrial biopsy was done. That came back clear then had the merina coil was fitted and ca 125 was done again and it had reduced down to a 100.. the waiting is the worst my biggest problem was the internet.. hopefully you get ur appointment through soon

Hi, they said it was due to heavy bleeding, with the lining being thicker.. they say loads of things can be the cause of higher readings..
