Wrong pathway / access tests

I was referred on the 2 week pathway for non specific issues. Symptoms GI, low appetite, exhaustion and blood tests showing concerns with liver / blood. I had a negative FIT and calprotectin test.

I got a phone call to go to the CDC for a colorectal appointment. The nurse advised that it was unusual for someone with a negative FIT test to be referred to them and she couldn't do anything about the abnormal blood tests. / other symptoms.

She said I should have a colonoscopy to be sure things were ok in the bowel despite the likelihood of anything sinister being very small.

She said she would see if she could get me a CT scan as I had been referred to non specific and had symptoms that did not align with colon issues. This will depend whether the consultant is prepared to sign it off.

I am concerned that if this is not possible, I will have to have the colonoscopy and if it is ok, go back to the drs and ask for a scan. I thought the whole point of the non specific was so that they could look at systemic issues.

Has anyone got any experience of this or any advice?

Many thanks
