Biloculated cyst with thick septation of 6.1mm

Hi All

I honestly don't know where to start my heads all over the place.

In Feb I went to my GP with back pain and heavy periods which wasa change for me , I'm 43 and was told I'm probably just pre menopausal but she sent me for an Ultrasound anyway, there was a delay in me getting this done and I went on Monday and by Monday evening I had a call to tell me I had a cysts that wasn't behaving like a normal cysts as it has a thickend septation and I was being placed on the 2 week cancer pathway I have had my CA125 bloods done and they are in normal range. I'm just hoping for some advice ? Stories? The anxiety is awful I literally feel sick. Thank you in advance xxx

  • Hey

ypull get the call which will then tell you what’s happening next- further scans & tests for sure which will start or at least you’ll see someone urgently in the initial 2 weeks from referral date.

my gps sent me for bowel & stomach cancer screening thankfully was eventually told biopsies clear… problems still ongoing & realised I was well overdue gynae & endometriosis checkup!

got into see the new consultant after. 6 week wait & 9 days ago see him where he says it’s got to be an mri due to concerns of a fibroid causing issues. He would try to speed it up.

yesterday I get a call & today off for the pelvic mri with dye & also the andomen too.. therefore he MUST have put me also under the 2ww for gynae cancers.

will keep you posted! It’s scary but also somewhat a relief finally being taken seriously again. Had severe Endo removed in 2012 hormone therapy for 3 years which had to stop caused osteopenia! Then was abandoned lol.

also I’m early menopausal to add to the fun.

    love C Xx

  • Thank you for replying, I have a consultant appointment for the 28th so a week on Monday , Am I being nieve that I hoped they would say nothing to worry about with my CA125 being raised.

I need to be real and that scares the hell out of me.

Please do keep me posted on how your doing , lots of love ️

  • I’ve not even been offered that blood test!

it doesn’t mean cancer when they refer you from those results…it can be various other things causing our issues like fibroids cysts endometriosis spreading- all relevant to my history hence I guess the consultants changed me to urgent to rule out cancer
