Worried after test and ultrasound-quickly being seen

I have rather had health anxiety in general and have been put on anxiety tablets in the past due to it.

I'm 24 and I have two young kids who are dependent and im terrified of the worst

I had suspected IBS but doctors wanted to test everything else so I had a blood test 12 days ago. Came back with "slightly raised " ovarian indicator levels in the blood test which gp rang me about last Thursday. Friday I got rang to make an ultrasound appointment.

Yesterday (Monday) I had the ultrasound scan and a transvaginal one. Told me to wait 7-10 days for hear back from GP. GP messaged me today!  Through an online system has to book a telephone gp appointment soonest available date being Monday.

With how quickly everything has progressed to be seen im terrified about what they've seen. I just have very frequent constipation for the past 6 months , semi- frequent bloating and mild abdominal pain thats triggered by a bad diet or dizzy drinks hence the suspected IBS but otherwise I feel fine. Can't feel any bumps or anything that would indicate a big cyst. My periods have been messed up since I started pill 3 months ago

I'm mostly looking for reassurance that being seen so quickly doesn't mean it's definitely something really serious or concerning

  • My daughter had a scan last Wednesday n results on friday, was called in to see Dr n it was just about an ovarian cyst.

They did say the call you in the next day if it's urgent. But a later date or telephone call would t be urgent or serious.

    • It’s likely a CA125 indicator which can be raised for a number of reasons, it can be in the hundreds during your period, the test value of “normal” is 35 and under but we all vary in our cycle and what’s normal for each of us, that’s why they don’t just test everyone this way. I have a large 8x9cm cyst and I would have zero idea just from trying to feel lumps and bumps in my body. Some cysts disappear naturally, some don’t. Quick appointments don’t necessarily mean anything bad, so many people would love to get quick results. Waiting is the worst. Good luck for Monday.
