Does anyone here have any experience of irregular bleeding after long term use of the coil, I am on my 3rd Mirena coil so only slight spotting in the last 12 years. However since Feb, I have had 3 separate 4-5day bleeds in 6 weeks with mild bloating on and off and constant pain, pressure, cramping etc in my pelvis. I am worried as I know the coil is used to treat many conditions so can't understand why it is no longer working for me. GP has confirmed everything is in the right place and referred me for an urgent ultrasound which is in 3 weeks. Has anyone had anything similar and was it ok? I am 45, no signs of menopause yet.
