Pain from transvaginal scan yesterday

I had a scan yesterday. During the scan I was asked to move my left leg (is this significant?) so my left side (ovary?) hurt. So did my right side.

i was told to phone my gp in a week.

immediately my buttocks/top of back of legs started hurting, this has got worse and I have very bad pelvic pain. My stomach is swollen too.

Im 60 and was referred (not on 2 week system) because gp looked and my vagina and cervix looked clear. I was referred for query endometrial abnormalities.

i then had two periods three weeks apart (a first, they had been getting light and brown). These periods were very heavy (soaking pads - but unusually for me, no clots, just blood) followed by spotting (also unusual for me).

im in terrible pain but have been to gp many times about this.

i also think I have bv but not sure as never had it.

i dont know what to do. Im in such pain,

has anyone any advice?

  • Hello Jinx1

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some additional pain and discomfort following your ultrasound earlier this week. If things still haven't settled or you're concerned, then do give your GP surgery a call this morning to ask for advice and support.

Hopefully, the results will bring some answers next week, and the doctor will be able to set you on the right path to improving things for you.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn

  • Thanks for your reply,

My gp surgery rang and said all fine but the dr wants to see me.

i can see the results on NHS app, I have a cyst on my left ovary, 3.7 cm.  One problem is that nobody knows if I’m post or pre-menopausal, last period was in February.

i get bad pain from my left buttock through the back of my thigh.

    my ce125 was 12, so I don’t think it’s cancer, so I shouldn’t be on here!

I just have a lot of pain and it seems nothing can be done.

    thank you for your reply.
