I haven’t had this experience re the previous smears etc because I’d stupidly never had one  but after experiencing irregular heavy bleeding, excessive discharge, pain and bleeding during and after sex. I kind of knew something would be picked up on the smear. High risk HPV and cell changes. Don’t know what extent but I’m due to have a colposcopy on the 15th April.

Hi both I'm so glad I had this forum.im sorry you are both going through this. Are yous OK now? I'm in a similar position. I had my regular smear test last February where cin 2 was found, then I went for a coloscopy August found fibroids and cin 3. I Had my procedure Sept. All abnormal cells removed or so thought.  6 months later another follow up smear with results showing traces of hpv and abnormal cells. I have to get another colposcopy in 6 weeks to determine levels of abnormalities,!  I was shocked but all I can think of was that cells were missed surely they couldn't have grown in 6 months? WindyThistle  did you have your colposcopy?
