After 3 months of diarrhoea and pain, literally every day...yesterday the pain under my left ribs was very sore and my stomach so full and hard, I looked pregnant..at 71...lol..the lower abdomen pain is a daily feature....so as I live alone I called the paramedics. They were so kind and helpful and even rang a gastro consultant. Then they referred me to SDEC, Same Day Emergency Care, and said I would get a call from them very soon. Stupidly I had left my phone on not to allow unknown numbers, as I've had a lot of scams and phone pests. Thankfully I realised and have spoken to the EACU at the hospital, Emergency Ambulatory Care Unit. I will go tomorrow and be there for several hours she warned me to allow for various tests/scans. So I'm really hoping I shall come home with a diagnosis. But horror of all horrors, I woke at 4am today to find my bowel had decided to completely void itself while I was sleeping! what joy to deal with. But at least I heard the birds lovely dawn chorus as I changed the bed. Slightly worried about boarding buses tomorrow but I have to go. I've taken codeine today as well as the immodium I always take. Wish me well folks. Back in February my GP suspected cancer but it could be Crohns or something else???? At least the sun is shining here today on the south coast. I had already done blood tests with some dodgy results, and 3 fit tests not showing result till 16th April...so we will see what we will see.....hope you all have a good day as far as possible. x
