Hi, so I’ve been going through the process of a possible diagnosis. I found a swollen lymph node on my neck over 6 months ago originally and I left it for months as you do thinking it was just normal and will go away. I started to experience weight loss alot and it was flying off me (I’d lost just over 20 pounds in 3 months) so I finally went to the doctors December 2024 just to get my symptoms checked as i originally thought it could be down to my thyroid. My GP did normal checks bloods and CT tap scan and all came back normal. Went in to see go again and she examined me again and found multiple nodes in both sides of my groin and another one on the other side of my neck. I was referred to haematology on the urgent 2 week wait. Had my first consultation and the consultant was abit rude to begin with and the whole appt felt asif it was rushed and she dismissed my symptoms I was trying to say. 

I told she wanted to do a ct of my neck as this wasn’t included in the ct scan my doctors sent me for, if nodes showed up we’d do a biopsy and if they didn’t show up we’d ultrasound my groin. I had my ct scan and had no contact from anyone for 10 days about what was happening or anything about next tests. 

During the time frame from my first consultation to today (12 days) I’ve had multiple new nodes appear on my neck and 2 of the ones in my groin and growing very slowly but they are definitely bigger. My itching has got much worse however my weight loss has seemed to stalled now and stayed the same. 

I’ve suffered with night sweats on and off for the past 4 years I have them for about a month and then they go for a while then come back. I’m exhausted constantly like drained and my Body aches from doing very little or holding something for a short time for example. I’m only 25 and fit and healthy otherwise so i feel as though I shouldn’t feel this way. I’m also either freezing cold like shivering or sweating like the heatings on at home and it isn’t and no one’s the same temperature as me either when I complain I’m cold or hot. I have had some strange rashes come and go but they never stay and I’ve been experiencing pins and needles alot more in my hands and feet.

I have 3 lumps on one side of my neck, 2 of the other side, around 6-8 on each side of my groin however these are hard to count as they are all very close together and there of different sizes. I also have tiny lumps above my collar bone. 

had a phone call today saying the consultant has said that neck ct scan came back normal and no concerns so there’s no need for any further tests and everything’s fine and I’ll receive a letter about this soon. 

literally as vague as that, no explanation as to what my lumps are she didn’t even comment if they’re ’just swollen lymph nodes’ (this is the secretary I’ve spoken to and no contact directly to consultant. 

anyway my questions are; 

1. did anyone here show normal CT scan and still get a diagnosis later? 

2. what am I supposed to do regarding my existing lumps and symptoms?

3. Did anyone with a lymphoma diagnosis loose weight and then stop before you were diagnosed and treated? 

4.did anyone with lymphoma experience new small lumps appearing as the time went on?

any advice will be appreciated as I’m abit lost as to what I should do now.
