Firm mass in suprasternal notch

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I have a 15mm firm mass in suprasternal notch.

History is as follows...

45 year old female

My cervical left node has been swollen for 4 years which looked ok when scanned 2 years ago and they also found a thyroid nodule that they also said looked ok.

The new lump I noticed around Christmas time and it does not hurt. I'm a bit worried and have been suffering the most awful night sweats, changing 2-3 per night. The lump feels very big to me. I've been referred under the 2ww and have ENT consultation tonight.

Has anyone had anything like this? And what did it end up being please?

Thanks in advance for any replies x

  • Hello Betty.  As you know, no-one on here can diagnose you, but I have breast cancer and when I first noticed the lump, it was not not very big.  It was very hard, but I never had any pain with it.  However, what you must remember is that most of the time, a lump in the breast is totally harmless.  I know that this is no consolation for those people (myself included) who actually had the dreaded big C, but please try not to jump to any conclusions (easier said than done of course).  My thoughts and prayers are with you Betty, please keep us informed, xx
