Skin discoloration that has become a raised mole

Hi, A few months ago I noticed a discoloured patch of skin on my labia but didn’t think anything of it. A few days ago I noticed it’s turned into a raised mole. I’m absolutely terrified after googling. Luckily I have private cover through work but still have to wait two weeks for a consultation having been referred by telephone. I’m going to try and see a GP in person next week. Two weeks feels like such a long time! I have twin toddlers and am so scared right now

    A warm welcome to our forum. It's best if you can to keep away from the temptation to look things up online as this will only make you feel more anxious without providing any satisfactory answers. It's great you have private cover through work but I can imagine having to wait two weeks is stressful for you and I hope that you manage to speak to a GP next week. Waiting for answers can be nerve-racking and two weeks can feel like a lifetime. I hope that you can get a bit more clarity when you speak to the GP and that it all turns out to be nothing of concern. While you are waiting, I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.
