I had a mastectomy 30 years ago and have been fine since until 6 weeks ago when I found a ping pong ball size lump over breast/armpit area.
Saw GP who referred red flag
At the clinic the very young consultant breezed in looked but didn't feel and said as long as both sides look symmetrical all was good.
I went for ultra sound which showed nothing but the radiologist could clearly see and feel the lump.
She went back to consultant to say nothing showing on ultrasound but she was very concerned with the lump.p
Radiographer came back and said consultant had discharged me but added " This is of the record. Ut if that was my lump I'd want a second opinion pronto as.not everything shows on ultrasound."
Now I'm confused and don't know what to do.
