Inverted nipple and heavy tingly feeling

Hi everyone,

Around 4 years ago I went to the doctors as I was concerned about an inverted nipple - came out again if pinched. Dr said she was not concerned as no other symptoms and nipple inversions can commonly happen, and as I was only 20 at the time she had no concerns.

I am now getting slight tingly/heavy feeling in the same breast. I am due on my period so not sure if it’s just that but I am so worried with it being the same breast.

I am going to book a GP appointment ASAP but my mind I’m going a million miles an hour.

  • Hi JazA and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm sorry for the worry your symptoms are causing but you're doing the right thing by booking an appointment with your GP, and I hope you now have one since making this post.

Our members know all too well how scary and worrying this time can be, so you are not alone JazA, and hopefully it won't be long until you receive some support and advice.

I hope this guide we have on how to cope with waiting for news, and some of these tips the NHS has on managing anxiety, will help to calm your mind but if you'd like to have a chat with one of our cancer nurses about any of this, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

We're wishing you all the best with your GP appointment JazA and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
