Positive HPV and Bartholin's gland carcinoma??

I have had a lump in my vagina for a while, but it's just become painful. I've also recently had a positive HPV, the CGIN3 one, after which they removed 1cm of my cervix for. The results from that biopsy were negative, no HPV found. I also had a scan and nothing was found in my womb. I'm now panicking that the HPV was actually picked up because it's coming from the lump instead. Or could it just be a cyst instead?!

  • Hi Twiglets07,

It's difficult to give advice on this with not being involved in your care - I'm not sure if you have any further appointments booked, but if not then do make an appointment with your doctor to talk this through. They will be best placed to advise.

You are also welcome to give our nurses a call if you'd like to chat to someone. You can reach them on freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

I hope that the pain eases soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
