Hi there,
Long story short a large bulging appendix was seen on my colonoscopy, so I was fast tracked for a CT scan, which I had within 6 days.
It's taken a further 2 weeks for the scan to be looked at and the report to be written of the CT findings, (which is fast track I'm informed). Within 1 day of this report being sent to my consultant, I was informed by her secretary that a letter is being sent to myself and my GP, but the contents were not allowed to be discussed.
They've actually seen and taken photos of the large appendiceal bulge on colonoscopy and I'm in quite a lot of pain in that region, but they failed to pick anything up on a CT they gave me 6 months ago, for the same continuing pain.
They only did the colonoscopy due to bleeding and a very high FIT test score so 2 week referral from GP, or I would still just be left in pain. My liver function tests have all gone high and LDH levels have also gone high. (Not sure if they mean anything).
Has anybody else encountered this kind of thing, no communications via an appointment, or phone about anything, just a letter being sent?
I'm scared to think the CT didn't pick anything up again, so they're just discharging me again, despite the bulge actually being seen on colonoscopy.
